Final Fantasy 16 it’s coming sooner rather than later with a timed PS5 exclusive taking full advantage of the console’s impressive hardware to bring out the most ambitious game in the series.
What immediately catches the eye Final Fantasy 16 on PS5 compared to older titles in the series is an approach to combat. The action is fast and the enemies don’t stop coming. It’s clear the console’s NVMe SSD tech and powerful GPU are working hard to pump out stellar visuals at lightning speed to keep up.
A recent meeting with Final Fantasy 16 From PlayStation Blog dug deep into why the RPG will become: “a PS5 must-have”. Proof of this can be your encounters with the Eicons, which are essentially giant monsters that you’ll face throughout your journey.
Inspired by Japanese Kaiju, you’ll face all kinds of bigger enemies to see what you’re made of. From the early gameplay revealed, it looks like it has more to do with something like this God of War Ragnarok than your everyday JRPG.
The fight seems to have had an impact on The devil can cry 5 in terms of sheer scale and cinematic panache. So if you are a fan of dynamic spectacular warriors, Final Fantasy 16 should please you with long combos that can be performed and Eikon-themed special moves that are only on cooldown away.

Everything I’ve seen Final Fantasy 16 looks incredibly promising. As someone who isn’t too fond of turn-based JRPGs, I definitely appreciate the more action-oriented tone this upcoming version has in its approach to monster battles.
The concept of standing there and waiting for me to strike has never really appealed to me. Surely if a giant beast fell out of the sky and started tearing everything apart, the last thing it would do would be wait patiently before it reduces its population to charcoal.
Other entries in the series have certainly experimented with real-time combat. We saw it with Final Fantasy 15Active Cross Battle System and later z Final Fantasy 7 RemakeActive Time Battle indicators. However, Final Fantasy 16The combat looks faster and more dynamic than its predecessors and seems to offer players a lot of progress. Instead of slowing things down, the action feels tight and focused, which will hopefully make the fights more engaging and challenging.
